I completed the dual apprenticeship as a surface technician and industrial clerk at Collini in Judenburg. The four-year apprenticeship, supplemented by additional training and getting to know all the jobs at the Judenburg site, was as varied as I had hoped.
For me, it was particularly exciting to do the project work for the final apprenticeship exam. I was able to do this independently, including all technical experiments. Winning the state championship for the best apprentice in surface technology was something very special for me! And it motivated me to continue learning: I obtained a vocational diploma, passed the master craftsman exam, and earned a part-time university degree at the University of Klagenfurt.
I’m proud to be a part of Collini. What I especially like about Collini as a company is the appreciation for me as a person and for my daily work. For me, having a career means willingness to face changes in a positive way, as well as taking on responsibility. I recently became responsible for lean management at our three hot-dip galvanizing sites and I’m excited to see where my path at Collini will take me.
